Perched high in the building at number 8 on O Cho Dua Street, a few steps from the six-way intersection, HYBRA On Top is a club set high above the street. Before 1 July 2025 the area belonged to Dong Da District; it is now O Cho Dua Ward. It is quick to reach from central Hanoi, and because the club sits up high, guests often call it a rooftop-style club.

The venue sums itself up in one line: “Leave the gate open to the mythical island for leisure seekers”. That island runs through the whole space, from the banner over the stage to the fishing nets and the wall of plants.

The HYBRA On Top logo is an eight-pointed, stepped maze sigil in icy blue chrome, set in the mouth of a rock cave that opens onto a cold blue sky; the H in the name is handwritten. When you see that sigil glowing on the plant wall, you are in the right place.

Step inside and the first thing you notice is the ceiling: raw concrete with the service pipes left exposed rather than hidden. Below it hang square LED frames at an angle, changing colour with the music, while blue lasers sweep the floor and an LED screen glows on the stage side.

Over the main stage hangs a “HYBRA On Top Island” banner, framed with fishing nets and even a CAUTION sign, in keeping with an island landing. On one side, a wall of plants wraps around the glowing white maze sigil, a favourite photo spot for first-timers.

At the peaks of the night, CO2 jets fire from the stage, confetti fills the air and birthday light boards rise above the crowd. The photo gallery on this site has plenty of real pictures to preview every corner.

Early on, the lift takes you up. The music is still gentle and the square LED frames shift colour slowly, which makes it the best time to pick a spot and take photos with the neon sigil in the plant wall.

Once the DJ settles into a set, EDM, House and Hip-hop build up, mixed with familiar remixes. The blue lasers start sweeping and the floor between the tables fills. The peak belongs to the Island stage: an MC working the crowd, a guest DJ on the decks, CO2 jets and a shower of confetti, with birthday tables called out on the LED screen.

Weekends host the House of V series, with a guest DJ each night. The club has also run costume nights and voting nights with the MC. The schedule is posted on HYBRA On Top's official Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and the club also has its own SoundCloud channel if you want a taste of the music before you go.

According to the club's Google listing, HYBRA On Top opens at 8 PM and stays open until 3 AM, seven days a week. It is one of the late-night spots around the former Dong Da District, which makes it a good way to stretch an evening after dinner or work.

To get a good spot and take photos at leisure, arrive soon after opening. To walk straight into the busiest part of the night, meet your group later, once the DJ is into the main set. Weekend nights are busier, so book ahead to avoid waiting.

Seating follows the way guests usually choose. Standing tables by the floor are high round tables at the edge of the dance floor, closest to the DJ, for small groups who want to be in the rhythm. Sofa tables sit around the floor, comfortable yet with a full view of the LED frames and lasers, for larger groups of friends. The zone facing the Island stage looks straight at the banner where the MC and guest DJs perform, so you catch every peak of the night. Finally there are birthday and group tables, with a light board bearing your name, a greeting on the LED screen and confetti.

Two or three people will have plenty of fun at a standing table. A group of six or seven who want to sit together should take a sofa table.
